The 186 Aero Squadron Emblem

My grandfather was a member of the 186 Aero Squadron U.S. Army during World War I. Above is the emblem of his squadron.
I'm going to make another go at building a web site with pictures that he and his fellow comrades took during their deployment to England, then France and finally as occupation forces in Germany.

Recently I've been getting help with the site from Lt Col Mike Buck of the "new" 186th Fighter Squadron. I'm going to be adding pictures from him and hopefully make up some pages from his squadron, which has been deployed to Iraq. His picture is below with his fighter. Thanks for your help Mike "Alien" Buck.
He has supplied me with the Official History of the 186th Aero Squadron. Click on the link to see it.
Mike is also working on the history of the squadron from WWI to the present, when that is complete with pictures we will be putting that on the site.

Below is a picture of my Opa Beck, "The Flying Dutchman". Where and how he got a hold of the motorcycle is a mystery to me. He passed away when I was 12 years old in 1962.

Please keep coming back and checking the site. I will try and add pictures and information as I get it. Of course any feed back on the site would be appreciated.

Please feel free to e-mail me. websmith@186thaerosquadron.com. My name is Ken.
